The race through 17th-century Amsterdam really captures that Golden Age feel, and I love how the compact city map forces quick decisions every turn. The card management stays simple but keeps you on edge right until the final route is claimed.

The cart cards make this way less fiddly than the full-size board, and my wife and I finished a game in about 20 minutes. The Dutch Golden Age map is a nice change of scenery too. Perfect little weeknight version.

The smaller map makes for a quicker, more intense game than the original—we finished in under 30 minutes. I wish the card quality felt a bit sturdier, but the tight city routes keep the tension high.
