Creature Codex

The heirophant lich alone is worth the price—it's got this terrifying ritual mechanic that my players still talk about. I've been flipping through the planar plants section too, and every entry feels fresh rather than recycled. My campaign's monster variety just tripled overnight.

I was surprised to see 6 new dragons tucked inside this book, and the stats for the Animal Lords feel solid at high levels. The only downside is that the art varies a bit from page to page, which breaks the flow for me. Still, as a DM always hungry for fresh monster options, this one's a keeper.
