Citadel Contrast: Black Legion

The one-coat shading over a light undercoat is the real deal. I did a whole squad in an evening and the recesses came out darker without me having to touch a wash. Not going back to the old layering method for rank-and-file models.

First time trying a contrast paint, and the way it automatically shades the recesses on my Black Legionnaires is a game-changer—just one coat over a light undercoat did the whole job. The coverage is surprisingly smooth and the dark finish looks exactly like I wanted.
