Heavy Body Acrylics - Carbon Black (2oz)

I’ve been searching for a true carbon black that doesn’t turn muddy when mixed, and the pure pigment in this 2oz tube is exactly that—thick, smooth, and utterly opaque. No fillers or extenders to mess with the color, so a little goes a long way on the palette.

This tube is a workhorse — the pigment is so dense and pure that a tiny dab covers a whole canvas, no fillers or extenders messing with the color. It feels almost buttery going on, and the black stays deep and rich even after it dries.

The consistency is perfect for palette work—it holds peaks without drooping, yet blends down smooth when I push it. This tube has become my go-to for underpainting and dark glazes, and the color stays true without turning chalky when it dries.
