With this enamel product the modeler may easily represent streaking effects left by salt on vertical surfaces or horizontal areas of any ship. Shake well before use. Apply your streak with a fine pointed brush in irregular vertical lines from upper parts on sides and let the paint dry for about 10 minutes. Next take a flat brush moisted in White Spirit and swipe with little pressure over the earlier applied streak to soften the effect and create a natural look.

        The brush-on application is surprisingly easy for such a precise effect, and the 35ml bottle will last through several ship models. I tried it on a destroyer's hull and the salt streaks look exactly like the real barnacle stains I've seen in photos. My only minor issue is the enamel smell is a bit s

        The 35ml bottle is decent for the price, and the enamel formula does produce convincing salt streaks on my ship model's hull. It takes a bit of practice to get the streaks to look natural rather than just blotchy, and you really have to shake it well before each use or the pigment settles.
