Soilworks - City Dust, Oil Wash

I’ve been using the oil wash to grime up a few street dioramas and it flows into recesses like a dream, no harsh pooling. The City Dust tone gives that gritty urban buildup without looking overdone, and it blends seamlessly with the rest of the weathering line.

The rust wash settles into panel lines beautifully, and a quick dry-brush over it gives a worn, believable finish that I couldn’t get with acrylics. It’s been my go‑to for a couple of urban dioramas now, and the oil base means I can rework mistakes for a while before it sets.
