I bought this for game night with friends who usually zone out during long rule explanations, and everyone was placing meeples within five minutes. The little wooden figures feel great in hand and the artwork on each tile makes the map look genuinely pretty by the end.

Finally got this to the table with my family—the tile-laying is so simple that even my 8-year-old picked it up in two rounds. The meeples are delightfully chunky and the scoring strategy keeps every game fresh.

The tile-laying mechanic clicked for my kids way faster than I expected, and the little meeples are charming enough that they fight over colors. Only gripe is that the box insert is flimsy and tiles slide around in storage. Still, it's become our default weeknight game.
